Today, more and more people are being diagnosed with cancer and projections for the future are staggering. One out of three persons can be expected to develop cancer in his or her lifetime... they are our family members, our friends, our neighbours... ourselves." (The BC Cancer Foundation) Golf 4 a Cure is pleased to be able to have The BC Cancer Foundation again this year as our charity of choice. Established in 1935, the BC Cancer Foundation was the catalyst behind the formation of the BC Cancer Agency and the BC Cancer Research Centre. Today the Foundation raises funds to support cancer research and various programs of the BC Cancer Agency at care and treatment centres throughout British Columbia. The Foundation maintains offices in each of these centres located in Vancouver, the Fraser Valley, the Southern Interior and Vancouver Island.
